I was raised in a town called Gaston SC, I’m the middle child of 3 and ever since I was young I knew music was a passion of mine I used to bang around on my dad’s fender Stratocaster when I was little even though I didn’t know a single chord.  My first memory ever was hearing the intro to “Fast As You” by Dwight Yoakam while riding in my dad’s ‘87 Chevy.  I knew then that music had power and could draw me in and later on when I turned 12 I was attracted again by the music of Hank Williams Sr, I didn’t know how to play guitar then but it didn’t take me long to figure it out and knew almost every song Hank had sang.  I’m kind of a musical mutt, through the years I picked up a lot of influences from Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Elvis Presley all the way to Tony Rice, George Strait and Bob Wills.  I learned Bluegrass later in life however that doesn’t stop the fact I love the feel of traditional bluegrass and it always holds a special place in my heart.
