Jake Sanderson

Jake Sanderson has been involved in bluegrass music for the majority of his life. Jake received his first mandolin for a Christmas present from his Uncle Perry at the age of 7. Growing up in the mountains of North Carolina, there were always places to find good bluegrass. Jake moved with his family to Columbia, South Carolina in the early 2000’s, and joined the bluegrass community there. Jake and his best friend Jeremy Johnson began their first band, Southern Gospel Express shortly after the move to SC. This was a wonderful experience and was rebranded to the BlueFaith band in 2018. In 2019, Jake married his college sweetheart Megan Rae, and they now live in Rembert, South Carolina. Jake works as a Hospice Chaplain in the Clarendon county area. Jake is a board member on the Southeastern Bluegrass Association, and strives to keep the music alive in South Carolina! Jakes biggest musical influences include: Darren Nicholson of Balsam Range, Jim Burris of The Grass Strings, and very reverently Hank Prosser of the original Carolina Rebels Bluegrass. Jake is humbled and honored to be a part of the Rebels crew.
